I don’t know about you but I’m obsessed with Medjool dates and the rich flavour they give. I call this little recipe natures treat as it really is. Who would of thought something so delicious could be so healthy.

DAtess and why i love them

The sweetest most delicious natural bite that you would thinks it’s not good for you. Well it is, and they are also rich in protective antioxidants and are a natural sugar replacement. Not to mention, they can play an important role in health from helping maintain healthy gut microbiome to reducing the risk of certain long-term health conditions. They are defiantly staying on my shopping list.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 punnet Medjool dates pitted or not

  • 1 packet dark chocolate

  • Sea salt

  • Biscoff, peanut butter or any nut butter of choice

  • Goji berries (optional)

method

Fritter batter:

  1. Pitt the dates if not done already

  2. Split them and open ready to be filled with filling of choice

  3. Fill dates and squeeze closed

  4. Melt chocolate in intervals and small squares t make sure its even and doesn’t burn

  5. Cover top of date and filling with melted chocolate

  6. Sprinkle goji and sea salt to finish

  7. Chill in fridge until chocolate has hardened

  8. Enjoy xx

Optional:

  1. Top with goji berries or hemp seeds for an extra protein hit.

ALLERGIES: Nuts, dairy (depending on chocolate)
